Sippel’s Spotlight 1/2

Happy New Year San Tan,

My favorite thing about a New Year is the opportunity that comes along with it. Mrs. Sippel and I have been blessed to be able to, through the amazing staff that we have provide a superior educational experience for the families that we serve. As we look back over the 12 years that have shaped San Tan, we are humbled beyond imagine. Who would of thought that two people who had a passion for something better for their own child would one day become something that is a cornerstone of education in Gilbert.

Too much that is given, much is expected and our organization is ready to give more to our community. I am happy to announce that our board of directors along with the Morrison Family has made the decision to invest in a $19MM dollar expansion on 22 acres to our popular Secondary School experience to include a state of the art elective building housing a full home economics classroom, video arts lab, and music studios. In addition, we will be adding football, softball, and baseball stadiums, a 30,000 square foot gym with three full size basketball/volleyball courts. The new campus will be located at Power and Elliot Roads, just a quick 2-minute drive from the current campus; a full site plan of the campus is included.

With this will come many questions, some of which I have answered below. As we move into the enrollment process for the 2018/2019 school year additional informational nights will be held.

What Grades Will be at Each Campus

Our current campus will house Preschool – 8th grades.

The new campus will house 7th – 12th grades.

When Will Enrollment Start

The enrollment process will begin the week of January 8th, with current family packets going out that week. Enrollment packets will be due back the end of January. If you have additional siblings that would like to attend San Tan, please let me know so that additional packets can be sent home. Our lottery for new families will take place the end of February.

When will the New School Year Start and What will be the Start and Dismissal Times

Our board is working on these dates and times with a final calendar coming out by the end of January. However, the school year will start mid-August with start and dismissal times aligning at both campuses so that families’ pick-up/drop-off times will align.

Who will be the Principal

  • Kindergarten – 8th Grade Campus – Mrs. Amanda Errington
  • 7th – 12th Grade Campus – Mrs. Marlene Armstrong
  • I will be housed at both campuses continuing to interact with our families in the drive lane and doing announcements at the elementary school and attending all the amazing activities at the secondary school.

Educationally Yours,
